I love raw banana in the afternoon. My friends like to cook raw banana and just boil it over water and have a little snack in the afternoon. We use all sorts of sauce to top it and a little drink of tea would be for the finish. This is usually common in Asian countries and many would love to top it off with something salty or flavory sauce. I myself would want to dip it in soy sauce with a little oil.

Actually raw banana means banana before ripening which is green in color.
It has very medicinal uses too.

That sounds really good. I never would have thought about soy sauce and oil. I'll have to try that sometime. What other salty/savory sauces do your friends use?

The Morning Banana Diet is not the first weight loss banana diet. There have been various word-of-mouth banana diets over the years that work a bit differently from the Morning Banana Diet. Their goal was to discourage you from overeating at meals by having you eat a relatively satiating banana before all meals to fill you up, rather than limited bananas to breakfast.
In this sense these older banana diets were variations on the Grapefruit Diet or the Cabbage Soup Diet. Grapefruits and cabbage soup fill you up, the latter with liquid.

Smile good ol banana :)

Bananas have always been considered to be a substitute food. A complete food by itself.
It works as a laxative.
It aids digestion.
A banana a day helps to keep that cheerful mood

Raw means uncooked in the context of the Morning Banana Diet, not green.

Raw bananas/ Plantains belong to the banana family but tend to be firmer and cannot be eaten raw.

When the butter is completely melted add the remaining ingredients and whisk together until the chocolate is well combined, with no lumps. Dip the frozen squares in the chocolate to coat and sprinkle with the dried banana.

I agree with @topbanana. When we say raw banana, it means eating it as ease, no matter if it iz green and yellow. The important thing is it uncooked and not added with other ingredients.

Default I am confused

Hello there! I am new here. I am confused with the "raw" banana here. There a lot of types of banna here in the Philippines. If you say raw it means it is unripe. Usually ripe banana here are color yellow - yellow orange color or even green. It taste sweet also. We have the "SABA BANANA" this one you can boil this unlike the ordinary banana with sweet taste. I am not sure what to start eating here. [IMG]

Hi Vaije,

See here: http://morningbanana.com/community/s...50&postcount=7

Raw means an uncooked yellow banana. If "raw" for bananas does not mean that where you live, substitute the appropriate word.
