Day 179

Hmmmm...I got down to 153 for a bit but then kind of slacked off on most of the rules. I eat a banana but then have been eating whatever. I exercise, on average, 4-5 days per week and then 2 nights a week. I am now weighing in at 155 lbs.

I've lost another pound and was at 155.2 today.

I still am sticking to the ONE banana although I get hungry after exercising and probably should eat more.

I didn't exercise on Friday (and I usually don't on the weekends) but exercised 4 days and 2 nights (for 6 workouts).

I am still not following the "no dessert" rule...arghh! I really need to give up sugar but it is so hard for me.

I plan on exercising now and will blog more soon.

The last time I weighed myself I was down to 156.2 (total lost is 10.2 lbs.). I haven't weighed myself in about a week. I have been eating my morning banana but have not been as good not eating after 8 PM. I've also been craving food within an hour of eating the banana. I try not to eat too much though. I think I ate 5 medium sized shrimp and 3 almonds between breakfast and lunch. I walked and ran 4 miles today and am scarfing down my lunch right now. I'll try to post my weight in the next few days.

Okay...So I kind of followed the diet during the holidays (well, I ate the banana at least LOL). I think I had only gained about 1 lb. I also celebrated a birthday and had some cake and ice cream. I'm probably eating a few more sweets than I should and REALLY need to eat more vegetables.

So far today I had:

Breakfast: 1 banana and water

Lunch: Turkey Burger on a whole wheat bun with tomato, onion, and BBQ sauce. I also ate an orange.

I'm CRAVING a dark chocolate mint that I am saving for 3 PM and hope I can get over the craving. I am really full after eating the orange and need to use MIND over MATTER.

I know I will be having pizza and salad tonight and will try to stick with just ONE piece of pizza.

Right now I am at 158.4; that's only down .25 a lb since my last entry but at least I am going in the right direction.

I have a lot going on in my life that is messing with my normal eating and exercising (although I am still getting in some exercise).

So, I should be back on a normal schedule in about 2 weeks and will rededicate myself to following the diet to a "T" or rather a "B." ;)

Day 50

I've gone down 2 more pounds and now weigh in at 158.8. That is only two pounds since my last entry 24 days ago, but I had a little setback over Thanksgiving.

I've probably also eaten more sweets than I should have due to the Christmas holidays.

What is impressive though, is that no other "diet plan" has worked this easily for me. I've usually lost like 3 or 4 lbs., gained them back and then lost them again. I haven't bought new pants yet but I have noticed that my "muffin top" in my old pants is pretty much gone. I've also noticed that my button up shirts are not gaping between the buttons.

So...I will carry on and hope to hit the 140s sometime in January or early February.

I'm still only eating 1 banana in the morning. I am averaging exercising about 3-4 days per week.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

Still at the same weight 160.8. Stomach is a LOT flatter. Need to break through to the 150s before Thanksgiving.

I've been eating 1 banana for breakfast. A few almonds (3-6) mid-morning if I'm hungry after exercising. I've been pretty hungry the past week but haven't gone crazy with the eating.

Still 160.8 (ate my banana for breakfast and a smoothie for lunch but ate kind of a big dinner last night) but expect to drop into the 150s sometime next week.

One note...I've tried eating less before but have failed. I don't know what it is about eating the banana for breakfast that is helping me (maybe it's mental...maybe physical...I don't know...LOL).

Gotta go finish my morning banana and hit the treadmill :-)

Day 17--Down around 5.5 lbs

I weighed in at 160.8 this morning :-) Here's kind of what I've been eating the past 24 days:

[B]Breakfast:[/B] 1 banana and water

[B]Lunch:[/B] 45 calorie hot dog on a wheat bun (155 calories); baked chips (probably 120 cals worth); and maybe a little fruit. Sometimes I'll have a salad with chicken (Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad a McDonald's is my favorite!)

Dinner:[/B] Whatever I feed my family.

[B]Snacks:[/B] About 10 almonds per day; sometimes a yogurt or some small treat.

I try to stop the eating by 8 although I have eaten after that a few times. I've been going to bed by midnight. I only drink water (no soda, no coffee, no alcohol, etc.).

I do exercise--about an hour 4-5 days per week. I mostly walk and jog; do some light weight training :-)

I'm down to 161.8 this morning even after a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Can this "banana diet" really work? Seems to so far! (Thanks for the comment Daisy!)

Has anyone else noticed they don't desire as much food throughout the day. I'm not sure if it's in my head but the banana seems to be helping me throughout the day...or maybe it's because I didn't eat other breakfast foods that may trigger eating later in the day???

It'll be amazing if I can break into the 150s soon!

I've been trying the [B]banana diet[/B] now, kind of half heartedly, for 1 week. I eat 1 banana for breakfast with water. I sometimes sneak 6 almonds in too close to eating the banana. I've been pretty good at trying to stop eating at 8 PM and going to bed by midnight. It's been hard to give up sweets but I'm going to make an effort to follow the diet to a "T" now that I'm blogging.

I weighed 166.4 a week ago and am 165.4 today.

I will call this my official start date and will try to follow the banana diet rules.
