Day 17--Down around 5.5 lbs

I weighed in at 160.8 this morning :-) Here's kind of what I've been eating the past 24 days:

Breakfast: 1 banana and water

Lunch: 45 calorie hot dog on a wheat bun (155 calories); baked chips (probably 120 cals worth); and maybe a little fruit. Sometimes I'll have a salad with chicken (Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad a McDonald's is my favorite!)
Dinner: Whatever I feed my family.

Snacks: About 10 almonds per day; sometimes a yogurt or some small treat.

I try to stop the eating by 8 although I have eaten after that a few times. I've been going to bed by midnight. I only drink water (no soda, no coffee, no alcohol, etc.).

I do exercise--about an hour 4-5 days per week. I mostly walk and jog; do some light weight training :-)

What if you have a cup of coffee first thing in the am, wait 30 min, and then have the banana & water? Anybody tried this? Will it interfere w/ the weight loss?

Sounds too easy!!

OK, I'm going to try this. It just sounds too easy. I've tried so many other diets that haven't worked, I have to keep this a secret. 10lbs is all I need to lose and it has been impossible up till now. Any advise out there for the first week or so on this, other than the basic rules of the diet?

Day 13--Down almost 5 lbs.

Posted November 12th, 2008 at 09:49 AM by GoinBananas
I'm down to 161.8 this morning even after a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Can this "banana diet" really work? Seems to so far! (Thanks for the comment Daisy!)

Has anyone else noticed they don't desire as much food throughout the day. I'm not sure if it's in my head but the banana seems to be helping me throughout the day...or maybe it's because I didn't eat other breakfast foods that may trigger eating later in the day???

It'll be amazing if I can break into the 150s soon!

B(8AM): banana & water

L(noon): 1/2 Lg baked potato w/ cheese & veg, roll & margarine

S(3PM): 2 DS Oreos

D(5:30):1 apple, other 1/2 potato, grilled chicken breast

Drank 1 coffee today but added some sugar. Weighed myself a couple days ago and the results are as follows:
Start weight:160lbs

After one week:
STILL 160lbs!

So sad, no weight loss yet. Could be due to having my period. I've been keeping track of meals but have been having problems getting online. Maybe I need to eat differant food, or less? Does it seem unhealthy or too much food? Help please.

Okay, I just read something that said to give this diet 2 weeks. I figure either way it isn't hurting me so I will keep with it, but I could use some advice on making healthier choices and such.

Day 1

Posted November 11th, 2008 at 03:08 PM by
Started the diet today!
Today's weigh in 146lbs
Goal: to loose 15-20 lbs

Breakfast @ 9:00- 1 banana and 12oz of water, I did have a half a cup of coffee at 10:30, I couldnt finish my daily cup, maybe because of the water? who knows :)

Lunch @ 11:30- 3/4 of a roast beef club sandwich and some fries (baked not fried) and a glass of unsweetened iced tea

About to have dinner, it's 6:00 now- stuffed chicken breast with broccoli and another glass of water.

I have to say that after breakfast I really wasn't as hungry as i thought i would be. I'm used to eating a bagel or a muffin with a cup of coffee for breakfast, so I was very suprised. I didn't need a snack today in the afternoon, so I guess my lunch was enough.

So far so good, but it was only 1 day, we will see how it goes!
