Week 6 Feb 15 thru 21

Posted February 16th, 2009 at 01:04 PM by cathythomas
Well it's Monday the beginning of the week and I'm still holding true to the MOB Diet. I've eaten more sweets over this past weekendthan usual, I'm still seeing improving in how my clothes are fitting me and that a good thing. My only issue is that I'm not voiding as often as I feel I should, I know that eating less but I just feel that I need to be going to he bathroom more. Well I will write more by the weeks end about my progress this 6th week into the MOB Diet. Chow:):):)

Week 5 Feb 8 thru Feb 14

Posted February 12th, 2009 at 07:25 AM by cathythomas
Updated February 12th, 2009 at 07:27 AM by cathythomas
Well I'm into week 5 and everything is really going quite well, I'm having some issue with constipation (but this has always been an issue with me whenever I've made changes to my eating habits so I will need to find a way to resolve this issue). But as far my weight loss it has been really great, again I do not own a scale so the number of lbs that I lost is unknown to me but the way I look and feel in my clothes tells me the story that I want to have a happy ending too. I wore a pair of black slacks on yesterday that a few months ago I could get them on but they look a mess on me and I felt uncomfortable in them. Being a woman of my age I cannot stand to wear something and 1st know that it does not look good on me and 2nd it does not feel good while I'm wearing it. I'm not sure what I want as a goal weight, I feel that I will Brick Wall at some point, but I'm getting to the gym regularly and as soon as the weather gets warmer I will be back in the park onthe walking trail (that's what I love most). My appetitite it truly been curbed and I don't get hungry throught the midmorning or mid evening, I'm eating smaller portions of food, so I really don't deny myself anything, I just don't have need to eat alot. Well I'm feeling good and looking good and plan to eat a nice dinner this Vday. :p

The beginning of Week 2

Posted February 12th, 2009 at 02:54 AM by snoprincess
Today starts a new week. My total loss ended up being 3 pounds. Part of the challenges this week were: New way of eating combined with learning new job; new job has longer commute than used to (minimum 45 minute drive 3 days, and minimum 60 minutes 2 days - this is just one way); getting up early for the commute and not eating until arrival at work.

I am also finding that I have hunger around 5pm - and I still have an hour drive to get home, then fix dinner. So I am going to stretch out my snack or eat it later than 3pm.

Day 2 - Week 2

Posted February 10th, 2009 at 06:46 AM by naana
I have decided to not weigh every day, but weigh once a week..I haven't seen any additional weightloss in 2 days even though I haven't cheated and have started exercising. I think seeing 7 lbs lost in one week spoiled me a bit. I'm going to keep on since I'm actually enjoying this way of eating, I have more energy and I don't feel like I'm struggling or starving as I have with other diets I've tried.

Plan for the Day:

B - 2 Bananas and 12 oz water

L - 1 Lean Pocket
raw carrots & 1 Tbsp. Lite Dressing
1 apple

S - 1 oz Lite cheese
8 fat Free Triscuit Crackers

D - 3 oz Broiled Pork Chop
Steamed veggies
1/2 c Brown rice

Drinks: 2 Cups coffee, water, 2 Diet cokes

Bedtime - 10:00pm

Day 6

Posted February 10th, 2009 at 03:04 AM by snoprincess
It's Tuesday morning and I am up and ready to "re-start" my program. I did slip a little yesterday. For dinner I had a glass of chocolate soymilk with dinner (an omelet w/veggies & cheese), but I really needed that chocolate and milk fix. I had a full day at work learning my new computer and had a headache from all the. I know that is no excuse, but that's what I did and why.

Today - a new day and fresh start. I did weigh myself this morning and did not do any damage, but that isn't my passport to keep messing up. I will be back on track today.

Aimless start, but aiming for success

Posted February 9th, 2009 at 05:57 PM by
I started a few days ago after reading about the diet in Women's World magazine at the checkout line. I didn't know the rules til tonight. So, I simply ate the banana for breakfast - along with my usual cereal or glass of milk. Then went about my day. I did not weigh in, and I do not intend to. The # on the scale has never helped me achieve weight loss. Although progress is measured there, it always seem that the # of lbs loss is not in proportion to my effort. I will be tied to the process, not the result (a philosophy I learned in Sales training - basically, keep repeating a script, not expecting success each time, but you'll get better at it and eventually you will have more success than failure).

So, I estimated my start weight, and I don't plan to chime in with 'finished week 1 and X lbs lost'. To me, that's just not rewarding. And I also know that a week is a blink of an eye. We want to see huge progress each week (or each day!), and when it doesn't happen, we are disappointed. I know that if I even lost 1 lb/week, it would be about 1 year to get to my goal weight. To me, 1 year is not a long time!

Anyway, this really sounds like a plan that I can do. The rules are simple. The change for me will be reducing my milk consumption. Also, drinking water @ room temp and sip-by-sip. I'll have to stop drinking soda, too. But, I don't think that will be too hard.

Anyway, thanks for reading my blog. Good Luck to all!!!!
