I love bananas!!

Posted October 18th, 2008 at 03:16 PM by
:D Last week I said that the scales had stopped moving and that I was able to keep on with the diet anyway. Which of course made me happy!
:DThis week the scales started moving again. I can't believe how well this diet works. I have now lost 4.2kg in one month. (That was at my "official" weight taking date, yesterday, but when I got on the scales this morning I had lost another .6kg!!)
God Bless Bananas!

My First Day

Posted October 18th, 2008 at 04:35 AM by ryuji35
My Morning Banana Diet Day #1 (October 18, 2008)

Weight: 188 pounds
Bedtime: 00:00 p.m.
Bowel Movements: 1
Exercise: Walking at a very justifiable distance

Breakfast (9:30 a.m.)

3 banana(s)
1 glass water

Lunch (11 a.m.)
Lettuce dipped in homemade vinaigrette (sesame oil used is small amount with a little sugar as well) and Fish (came from fish broth so it's boiled but I didn't consume the soup)

>> I drank Coke Zero 30-35 minutes after lunch

Snack (around 5 pm)

Yogurt Drink
Juice Drink with L-Carnitine

Evening Snack (6:10 p.m.)

Lettuce with Ceasar Sauce, 1/2 can of tuna solids in water, grated cheddar cheese (small amount only) pork meat (6 small chunks as in small chunks) and chicken meat.

Green Tea (right after meal)

Thoughts and Feelings:

I feel guilty towards the Coke Zero, the chicken meat and especialy the pork meat (even if it is small chunks), the cheese and the caesar sauce. And the green tea right after meal! But they say drinking Green Tea after meal is a good habit for weight loss too, it's just that many "frowned" at the thought in terms of the MBD.

But I guess this is what the MBD is for. I can eat what I want, can't I? Have I done the right thing in my first day? *Hope so*

3 weeks down

Posted October 10th, 2008 at 08:34 PM by
:)Well, I managed another week. It has not been a good week as far as weight loss goes. I went up and down all week! :(
However, unlike other diets I've been on over the years, (none of them worked for vey long!) I have not felt depressed and wanting to give up. It has been easy to keep going, even if the scales are not encouraging.
I'm enjoying room temp water and instead of pigging out on choclate at any time of the day, I found that I can buy it early in the day and look forward with enjoyment to eating it at 3pm!!:D That's amazing!
Anyway, after my first week on this banana breakfast I decided that I wanted to make it a life change. So far so good.

might the credit crunch affect eating habits?

Posted October 10th, 2008 at 04:29 PM by
you may be aware of the ongoing financial crisis since its everywhere, many experts predict that the era of easy credit is gone. this has both good and bad; the good is that people will stop living beyond their means, the bad is that in the meantime even deserving applicants are being denied credit according to breadmarket.
I also think the credit crisis may have another unseen effect and that is change people's eating habits; when you go to the supermarket, vegetables are the cheapest item you can get, if people have to tighten their budgets, this might just be the motivation they need to cut out those expensive processed foods!

2 weeks down! How many to go? So far so good!

Posted October 4th, 2008 at 02:54 PM by
:DI'm happy!
Before I started MBD I had been loosing wieght, about 4.5kgs over a period of 6 months, by walking my dog everyday. But the weight lose had slowed down to "0". So I was happy to find something that is so stresss free and easy to follow. A good "lifestyle" change.
Now, after only 2 weeks on the MBD I lost 3.2kgs!:D:D:D
I was really over weight and I still am, so I still have a long way to go to reach my goal weight. But as long as there are bananas in the store, I think I can continue with this new "lifestyle". (If there aren't any bananas maybe I will try apples until bananas come back)
Does anyone know how long it took the doctor, who was on the tv program in Japan featuring many kinds of diets, to loose 22kgs?
