Oh no...

It's been a while since I blogged... This weekend I totally fell off the banana wagon and my diet and sleep habits got all messed up. :( Hopping back on to try again tomorrow.

The Plan : Crazy lazy 6 months diet

I'm m[COLOR=Red]1[/COLOR]ke, 42, I'm fat and lazy.

At 176cm height, my 107kg body weight hurts my knees if I exercise.

So I don't plan to be doing any extra exercise, until AFTER I lose a bit via diet change.

I have never really dieted before, so this is a first. A very long time ago, I was very fit, but I just took it all for granted and let fitness drift away and kilo's drift on & on...

Now is the time to reverse that.

My calculator says that I added an average of 2kgs a year for the past 15 years.

So, I need to lose 30kg, slowly.

The Plan: follow the morning banana diet for 6 months. Which means I'll be weighing-in at the end of April 2009. With updates along the way.

I've been trying the [B]banana diet[/B] now, kind of half heartedly, for 1 week. I eat 1 banana for breakfast with water. I sometimes sneak 6 almonds in too close to eating the banana. I've been pretty good at trying to stop eating at 8 PM and going to bed by midnight. It's been hard to give up sweets but I'm going to make an effort to follow the diet to a "T" now that I'm blogging.

I weighed 166.4 a week ago and am 165.4 today.

I will call this my official start date and will try to follow the banana diet rules.

day 10

breakfast- 2 bananas

lunch- 2 slices whole wheat, turkey, veggie cheese, low fat mayo
Fat Free chips with hummus dip

Dinner- Whole wheat pasta with spinach, parm cheese, capers and olive oil. Baked potato with organic oil spread.

snack- apple with peanut butter* just a little.

exercise- cardio and I did like over an hour of housework that was hard.

Day 13

I hate it! My weight bounced back! From 83kg at Day 9 I managed to be 81kg for the next days, and I just ate a little yesterday... I am now back at 84kg!

I think I am right, I am just losing water. hmmmmmmm I think we really have to exert exercise in the diet. Its true that no diet will work if exercise is not involved (yes, you'll lose weight but it will be there again just as it disappeared like mine did) so if we're talking about prolongetivity, exercise is a must

Day 8 Complete

B - no bananas! :eek:
L - Turkey sandwich, carrots, grapes
D - 2 slices of pizza
S - none

I ended up losing two pounds by day 6 but gained one back on day 7. I have been playing tennis for about 30-45 min every other day and sticking to the diet to a T.:o

Yesterday, day 7 and today I have been feeling a little back up. Get my drift. Maybe thats why I gained a pound back. I am not sure why. So I made sure this morning I had a good amount of fiber in system but I still dont feel 100%.:confused::mad::confused::mad::confused::mad:

I am still keeping a journal and I think its great. It makes you realize why you are how you are. I am also keeping to the diet as much as I can. Has anyone had any better success than me? Yes I know I have to be patient but lets face it, I am not.

Day One (Gasp!)

Well, I did it. I started the morning banana diet :D
Yesterday I weighed myself:
130.5 pounds.
That's overweight for my height (5feet, 1inch), so I'm looking to lose at least 15 pounds to be average.

I'm new at this...I think this is where I put what I've eaten today...

[B]Breakfast[/B]:
2 bananas
17+ ounces of water (room temperature)

[B]Lunch[/B]:
Bean burrito, half a banana (came with the school lunch, not my preference)
20+ ounces of water

[B]Snack[/B]:
20+ ounces of water
1 Banana

[B]Dinner[/B]:
Taco Bell YUM! (bean burrito and a cheese quesadilla).
16+ ounces of water

[B]Snack[/B]:
Green tea


Okay...now for the gross stuff, right? Lol.
Well...I had a bowel movement in the morning before I even left for school...which is weird for me. And then in the beginning of 2nd period I urinated...also odd. I'm usually a big water drinker anyway so after lunch I urinate a lot, but not so much before lunch.

Am I over-doing the bananas if I eat one as a snack and half with lunch? Should I just stick to eating them for breakfast? My dad said that it could be bad if I eat them all day long...idk why not though...

Day 9

well.. I did fabulous all day yesterday.. until after I ate dinner.. My husband came home with a pizza, and I had this RAVENOUS hunger come upon me and I ate 2 slices. Then an hour later I ate 2 more.. Well this is what I ate anyway..

breakfast- 2 bananas

lunch- healthy chips and hummus dip

dinner- small chicken breast with steamed veggies, 3 bites of organic leftover baked beans.

Exercise- jog around neighborhood with puppy. I jogged harder than usual cause it was FREEZING!

then about 2 hours later my hubby came home with the pizza. well the dinner I ate was very small. and I guess I was EXTREMELY hungry for some reason! I am so guilty!!!! BUT IT WAS SOOO GOOD!!
I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that I've been restricting calories for over a week and not giving myself enough treats. so, I had my slip up, but I'm going to move on.

Well during the weekend I couldn't eat bananas in the morning, but I did stick to the rest of the plan. So I ate healthfully and ate small portions.
Even though I can't weigh myself, I feel that I've lost a lb or 2. We'll see tho. I know I've been eating way less, and exercising alot more. So that's great!

Day 8

Breakfast- 1 banana

Lunch- Peanut butter sandwhich on whole wheat. 1 apple

Snack- 4 1/2 wheat thins, LOL

Dinner- Homemade burger with jalapeno veggie cheese(non dairy) no bun, rosemary potato wedges and organic baked beans.

I couldn't exercise yesterday because I pulled a muscle. Better today!
