I've noticed that there are a lot of drinkable vinegars from Mizukan on the store shelves now. Now there seems to be a whole series of "diet" vinegars, including apple vinegar, honey apple vinegar, blueberry and blackcurrant vinegar, and black vinegar (made from brown rice). I'm not sure if this stuff is mostly straight vinegar, or if it's cut with water or something. The pictures on the labels show it in wine glasses, which seems like a whole lot of vinegar to be drinking!
In the West the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet has been trendy off and on. There are several books on it, including:
Apple Cider Vinegar for Weight Loss and Good Health
The Grapefruit and Apple Cider Vinegar Combo Diet
Apple Cider Vinegar: Miracle Health System
Cure All That Ails You with Apple Cider Vinegar, Nuts & Honey

Here's a photo of the grocery shelf where some "diet" vinegars are being sold:

I bought it like 6 months ago, didnt touch it much until recently cause my boss pointed out the health benefits etc., Mostly when I drink it I get like 2 tablespoons of it and mix it with ice water. Its really good. I am not surprised at its popularity.

So it's actually pure vinegar, and not some vinegar drink that you drink straight?

Where abouts can I find these vinegar diet drinks? I love the taste of vinegar. Actually in the summer i put plain vinegar on my sliced cucumbers.
i think the vinegar eats the fat.:D

I hear you there:rolleyes:. It's one of those things where my taste buds love it, but I can only take it in small doses. Just the thought of having too much causes my stomach to turn.:(

I bought a bottle of pomegranate drinking vinegar. I mixed it with water(the ratio for mine is 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar), tastes like juice to me. I tasted the vinegar straight and it isn't very vinegary, it has some kind of sweetener in it. Anyways, it was on sale and I bought it because I just heard it was good for you. But, in what way? I just haven't bothered my Mom about reading the bottle(I can't read Korean) and thought I'd ask here first.

I had tried this for a while after reading about all the health benefits.
There was no weight loss and no benefits to speak of. The only thing I got from it was vaginal thrush, which disappeared as soon as I stopped taking it! (I used to take approx a tablespoon in a little water in the morning) :(

I've been taking a half a teaspoon with water after every meal, and it seems to work well as an appetite suppressant.
