Hi fellow dieters. I just found out about the MBD and think it'll be something I can do since I eat a banana daily anyway! The key will be to stick to the rules, which seem simple and not very restrictive. I'm excited about getting started tomorrow!

hi everyone, I have a few questions. I am going to start tomorrow. Just wanted to know if i can have popcorn for a snack and if i can have 1 cup of tea with milk in the morning and just do the water for the rest of the day. any help would be appeciated. Thanks

Wow, popcorn is a brilliant idea! There is a 3:00 p.m. snack allowed, and chocolate is a popular option for the snack in Japan, since you can't eat dessert with your meals on the Morning Banana Diet. Chocolate lets you have some sweets. Some Japanese who like salty snacks eat salted kombu (a seaweed snack).

But some people are hungrier and want something more filling. Eating a nigiri rice ball (rice with a little fish or something in the middle and covered with nori seaweed paper). I've been wondering what the American version of a nigiri snack might be. A small sandwich maybe? But popcorn would be perfect. It's mostly carbohydrate like a nigiri, and if you left the butter off or used only a little, and salted it, you could eat a lot and get filled up.

Hi Roxy -
Thank you for your offer of support. Let me know how you're progressing as well. I started today and believe so far I've stuck to the rules except maybe overdid the afternoon snack(!?). At least it was healthy - pistachios and cereal. Good luck!
