No bananas in Japan, but plenty of Morning Banana Diet books

Hilarious. I went to the supermarket tonight and stopped by the banana section in the produce department. No bananas at all. Just a stuffed plush toy banana mascot, an empty table, and a box of Morning Banana Diet books for sale, the Makino Shuppan Mook book. So the market was selling Morning Banana Diet books in its produce section, but no bananas.

Good idea ... but there are plenty of bananas available now.

I like to visit the JA farmers market stores in the morning (8:30 a.m.), but of course they don't have bananas, since they are not grown by Japanese farmers. Plenty of persimmons, though.
