Hello,

Just heard about this diet a few days ago, and I’ve started yesterday. My husband thinks I am crazy to try it...
I am trying to lose some of the baby fat, and working full time with a toddler, I can’t always find time to eat right and exercise.

I hope this MBD method will prove him wrong! :cool:

Compared to other fad diets out there, I don't think MBD is that crazy. You're not taking any weird supplements or drugs, and you're not restricting your diet in an artificial way by cutting out whole food groups.

I think the gist is just that you cut down on breakfast calories, and overall become more aware and conscious of your eating, since your eating times are restricted. Also, the sleep requirements and dinner time rules help you concentrate on leading more structured, regular life, which perhaps helps reduce stress, which might lead to eating.

So I think it's just a more-or-less random collection of mostly common sense practices that have worked for a lot of people, at least in Japan. Nothing magical about it, in my opinion.

Good luck Marco's Mom. The diet is easy to follow and it does work if you stick to it. I love the diet because its so darn cheap and you don't have to burn a hole in your pocket to get things together.
