A mook just appeared in the bookstores called "Banana Diet Plus Detox Soup (http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/4862870260/)." It describes a banana diet different from the Morning Banana Diet (but obviously intended to capitalize on the MBD). The mook is published by Izumi Shobo, who recently published a similar book called "Cabbage Diet Plus Detox Soup."
The new banana book is edited by a Dr. Fujimoto, along with a dietitian.
The version of the banana diet in this book has you eating one banana with room temperature water 15 minutes before all three meals, including a breakfast. You're supposed to eat nutritious, healthy meals until you are 80 percent full (like the old Japanese proverb, "Hara hachi bu").
The detox soup angle is that you can supercharge the diet by eating a vegetable soup as your evening meal. The soup is made from cabbage, green peppers, tomatoes, celery, carrots, and onions. You can flavor it various ways, but you cannot add any oil or sugar. This soup seems similar to the Master Clease concoction that peeople use to decompress from that diet.
