Hey hey!
I am a seventeen year-old female from Swansea in South Wales :) My current weight is 231 lbs.
I was reading Cosmopolitan where its health writer was taking the morning banana diet to the test and the fact that you could eat banana for breakfast and lose up to 25 lbs in a month caught my attention. Banana is my favourite fruit along with grapes and pineapple. Being curious, I looked up the diet on the internet and I was pleased to learn that it is just a simple diet, really.
Since January, I have been on Weight Watchers, which I have to admit is a lot of work. Within two months, I lost 21 lbs, which was great despite the fact that I had to control what food I was eating by counting the points and limiting myself to 30 points a day, which I felt wasn't enough. By the end of March, being on the diet was too difficult because I am an A-level student focusing on revisions and exams so I was not bothered about controlling what food I was having. Therefore, I gained 15 lbs back until the start of May. I feel disgusted that I've gained most of the weight back and I was too exhausted from my studies to worry about what food I was having. I also have mild depression which doesn't help, since I can't be bothered to control my strict(ish) diet.
So when I came across the morning banana diet and examined the rules and theory of the diet carefully, I couldn't be more happier. One, because banana is one of my favourite fruits. Two, it's much easier to grab a banana or two in the morning rather than make an effort to sit myself to a breakfast cereal. Three, it sounds like a normal, balanced diet with optional exercise thrown in which is good because I follow a balanced diet and I like to exercise. :)
Therefore, I will try this diet for a week to see how it goes. If it's going well then I may continue with the diet. I'll keep you all posted :)
Terribly sorry for the long post!
