In the journal, the food time recommended are 7am Banana and water, 12:00noon lunch, 3:00pm Snacks and 6:00 pm Dinner. I have been vey inconsistent keeping up with these times because of my work and college schedules. I don't know if i am supposed to keep up the consistency (though i lost 3 pounds in 3 days). Please help.:o

The main point of the Morning Banana diet is to get what you need in the morning with the lukewarm water and the Banana. If you are spacing your meals apart like that, at least have a rule where there are a number of hours between each meal if you are not able to eat at 7am ...lunch at 12... and so on.

I don't think time-of-day timing matters in the least, after over 40 pounds lost.
It is important that the first thing you consume is fruit and liquid, and that you wait a few hours until you have an actual meal.
It's important that you don't eat after 8pm.
It's important that you don't over eat, at any particular meal.
I don't feel the rest matters much, it hasn't in my experience.

Well I started my current regime, that I made up on my own, in the late summer of 2008. I didn't know what the "morning banana diet" was until March 2009 when I read about it by accident while researching organic bananas.
Turns out it's exactly what I had been doing anyway.
Since I use the Wii Fit to track my weight every day, I already have a good handle on what works and what doesn't. I even recorded reasons beside any big weight gains, as per the program's function.
When I started this I was around 225 or so. Maybe 230 at my worst. I'm bumping around 183-184 now. (6 foot male) When I graduated university I was a well muscled 185 pounds -- even had the 6-pack. Now, 13 years later, still no 6-pack but I've shed most of the accumulated flab. I'm about to start weightlifting to build some muscle mass back up. Went to the gym a week ago, felt great. Meantime Karate has improved my aerobic fitness and muscle tone as I lost the weight.
This morning, like most mornings, I'll eat my bananas around 9:30 or 10am at work with my coffee that I've let cool down a bit. Then I'll eat a modest lowfat lunch at 12:45 and a healthy & hearty supper around 6pm. The challenge is not snacking when I get hungry at 10pm... if I do, I see the results the next day.
Oh and my blood pressure is lower than it's been since university. 125/78. Yay me! Was 145/90 for a while.

:) Way to go! I am 5'5" (female) and I weigh 230. Hopefully by the end of August or the beginning of September I can be 30lbs lighter. Today is the day I am going to start to really work on it!:D
