Congratulations ^^ I am going to start soon also.

The think I found more interesting is that the appetite becomes decreased. i have seen so many products about losing weight and I like bananas a lot so I will stick with this one!

How are you doing? I just started the diet yesterday and am down 1.6 pounds. Of course, that was pretty easy since I gained 3 pounds over Thanksgiving.

Its good that people have started taking to this diet. I am not fat, rather I have a athletic build and workout regularly in a gym. I tried it today and amazingly I felt a strange energy that normally doesn't exist. that really helped me in my daily activities and my workout.

I just started my first day but i had coffee with cream and sugar with my banana and water. I didn't read far enough into to it to see what's strict for exceptions because i need my coffee(alot throughout the day actually but i'll have to start drinking it black to make it work).
But I'll be better for the rest of the day and the future. Except one problem i don't got to bed till 7am so can and when can i eat till? and my eating schedule because my day normally starts from 10am to around 1pm and i don't sleep till 7am mostly on the weekends because i work at an afterhours bar. I have a very unsteady schedule as u can see....angie;)

Hi Angie...

Dang, your schedule is something else. It is especially important for you to drink a lot of water (lukewarm) as they say in the morning banana diet.

As for the times you eat... Two hours before going to sleep is the last time you eat. and as soon as you wake up, like maybe 30 mns eat breakfast. I noticed that if you feel uncomfortable after waking up from the hectic schedule, lukewarm water before the banana is great for the digestive system.

Peace

Congrats to you!
I've been reading all the different posts, makes me think i should get a start on this diet, just seems pretty strange to have water and banana for breakfast lol, maybe because i'm not used to it but i suppose there is no harm in trying..

But good luck..

I don't want to sound like a party-pooper, but I have been carefully following the morning banana diet (as explained by a friend) and ... I seem to have put on weight! I certainly haven't lost any! I'm usually 70kg (11 stone), but had crept up a kilo and was feeling overweight. So, for the last 3 weeks plus I have had my banana and glass of lukewarm water every morning within 30 minutes of getting up. It certainly seems to have made me feel 'fuller', so I have eaten a small and healthy lunch, perhaps a snack in the afternoon and a small meal at night. None of my usual muesli and fruit for breakfast, no crackers and cheese nor a gin and tonic before dinner and no second courses or dessert. All really fine and easy.

But, no weight loss! I am steadfastly 72.5kg!

Can anyone explain this. Will I suddenly lose weight? I'm reluctant to go back to to my old eating habits, but .... what to do? :(

Yikes! Sorry to hear that. Ultimately the diet only works if you're eating fewer calories than you previously did (assuming you were previously maintaining a constant weight). Of course, counting calories is a pain, so diets like the MoBa attempt to "trick" you into eating less without the bean counting. In your case it sounds like you're not eating (significantly) less, and may be eating more than before. So I guess one thing to look at is to make sure you're not thinking the diet is some sort of magic diet that lets you go wild after you eat the bananas. But from your description, you seem to be eating very sensibly.

So I don't know what to say. Give it a few more weeks, or try another diet. As a last resort, count calories (ugh!).

Hi all,

I just signed up today, 12/29/08, and will start this diet tomorrow with my workout in the morning and at night. Can anybody give me some advice how should I start it? anyway, I have 2 jobs - morning job is 8 hours then go straight to the 2nd one until midnight. I need to loose 28 lbs with my hectic schedule, can I do that?? Please give me a tip. Losing weight is my New Year's Goal and keep it permanently. :P Thanks. :-)
